The visitor may very well wonder how an abstract artist for more than 30 years, can produce a series of figurative digital images (photography based), as it appears the work of a completely different artist. And I would like to expand on this:
I moved to Aldershot in 2016 and I absolutely love it here! During COVID times I noticed that in social media, many of the comments about Aldershot, residents were very self-deprecating about the town, specially town centre, and while I agree that the town centre at the time was in a little need of love and attention, there were so many great places around and such beauty about, that I felt compelled to do something to share what, and how, I saw this wonderful and charming town. I wouldn’t say a “hidden” gem, because it is out there for all to see and feel!
So, although I am an abstract artist, I decided to do this series of digital works, aimed at, simply put, open some of my neighbours eyes…That is how and why the Series Aldershot Untamed was born.
