We know who we are

Interpreted by Sandra Cespon.

 "We Know who we are"

What did we find
when their voices were drowned?

Past struggles
Have delivered us here…
Some say we have finally arrived…
That You and I are finally equal…
And yet…You still define me
with your stereotyped eyes…

But…What will they find
if our voices are drowned?

We are not planning to whisper…
We are not planning to hide…

We will not follow your trodden paths…
We will not obey your sick mind…

We know who we are…
We are your blood…
Your heart…
Your breath…
Your life…

We will not whisper!
We will not hide!
We will not follow your trodden paths!
We will not obey your sick mind!

We know…
We are who you are!

What did we find
when their voices were drowned?

Some say we have finally arrived…
That You and I are finally equal…
And yet…you still define me
with your stereotyped eyes…

Solitary

Interpreted by Karen Newell

“Solitary”

How could I
ever forget
the beautiful truth they hide…
If every time
I look at them
I find my soul
embracing yours…?

How could I
ever forget
if every time
I stand alone….
Naked before their gaze…
Like star dust
They open up
a distant world
we all once knew…
A universe of love,
that never
passed us by…
Of timeless youth,
Of unborn fears?

How could I
ever forget
the beautiful truth they hide…
My soul embracing yours…
My nakedness before their gaze…
Our distant world…
Our universal love…
Our timeless youth…
Our unborn fears…?

How could I…
Ever forget…
Those solitary mirror eyes
of mine?

How could I
ever forget
the beautiful truth they hide…
