ATFC Series (2025)

Posted on

Currently working on my latest series, ATFC, inspired by the red and blue colours of my local football team, Aldershot Town Football Club.

These mainly red and blue pieces can be read as explicit nods to Aldershot Town FC — the club’s red & blue identity is civic shorthand in this town. In small, focused works, these colours become shorthand for crowd, passion and local loyalty without becoming illustration. While not trying to avoid football iconography my use of palette and surface (rips, paint splashes), results in a more emotional shorthand than fandom merch.

Placed in the context of local conversations about “painting the town red & blue,” these works aim to operate as both, a celebration and a quietly personal commentary on communal identity

This is an open invitation to come and visit my Gallery at Makers Yard, Aldershot, and walk the margins of perception, listening to the works speak for themselves.
